Sweet spring friends

I love it when friends send me recipes.

Here is one from a friend who is an inspiration to me as an artist, writer, traveller, mother, woman—Janice Sorensen.

(One of her presents to me for my wedding:  a tamborine from Mexico, with flattened coke bottle caps for jangles.  We jangle it still.)
