I spent this holiday season with my family in Florida. It was warm and good. Warm because it was warm. Warm because it was good. Good because it was warm. Good because it was good.
Now I am looking out the window at the three foot long icicle descending from the gutter above our front door (must do something about that). It is quite the alternative reality. But it’s its own kind of good here, and I have on lots of layers so I’m staying fairly warm.
Last week—wait, no, it was just days ago—I was spending a lot of time on the beach, gazing not at icicles, but at the elegant kamikazes we call pelicans.
I also swam, therefore I was and am.
And on New Year’s Eve, I received a wonderful gift in my inbox:
Hi Karen,
I thought you might like to check out the 2014 timeline in FamilyFiction’s digital magazine –
You might see something you like!
Hope all is well with you and yours,
Rel
Rel Mollet lives in Melbourne, Australia. She is a book reviewer and blogger at Relz Reviews, a contributor to Family Fiction, Novel Crossing, and Title Trakk. Rel is also on the Inspy Awards’ Advisory Board. And she loves the beach, too.
Rel’s gift to me was twofold:
First there was the cover of Family Fiction, which included the caption:
What to Expect from 2014—Big Releases and News about the New Year!
And then there was their 2014 timeline:
My screen shot is kind of small (sorry!), but there on the lower half of the left page is the cover for my novel-to-be-released this spring, Sing for Me, and a description of the book.
I am so honored and humbled and all kinds of happy to have Sing for Me included in Family Fiction’s timeline for 2014, and so grateful to Rel Mollet at Relz Review’s for sharing the news with me. And now I’m sharing it with you, hoping that you are good and warm.
