Hello, after such a long time.
For many reasons, a few of which you probably can guess, I’ve been away from here. Health issues, moving house, family stuff, work challenges, and, as of the last few years, Covid in all its incarnations. . . the great levelers leveled me. Not always, but just enough to keep me from showing up here.
But now, with the AWP conference on the horizon, next week to be exact, I’m tossing this bottle with its message into the Sea of Sites in hopes that it may wash up on your shores.
My news:
I’ll be in Seattle next week for the AWP Conference. I’m very much looking forward to seeing other writer and editor friends. And thanks to the kindness of Hypertext Magazine & Studio and Rhino Poetry, I’ll be participating in a reading.
If you happen to be in the area at that time, I’d love to connect, perhaps at the reading. You’ll hear from some terrific writers over the course of the event, I promise. And tucked in among them somewhere, I’ll be sharing a bit from novel I’ve been working on for a while now. I’ve only read from it once before, and that was, gulp, pre-2019.
In case you’re able to join us, here are the details.
Oh, and I’ll be helping out a bit at table T300, too. If you can’t make the reading, be sure to stop by there, and support two of the best literary journals I know: RHINO and Hypertext!
